It was a mental day on the track at the beginning of my World Track Championship stay in Apeldoorn.
It was a mental day on the track at the beginning of my World Championship stay in Apeldoorn. The track felt entirely different to the Newport from the beginning but after all doors were closed it started to feel better. Before that it really felt like coming uphill in some points while coming out of banking. I have not made up my mind whether it feels slower or faster, at the moment and for the purpose of training it is OK. But enough of track description.
Apeldoorn is beautiful town, paradise for cyclist. Dedicated cycle roads are stretching far beyond the city into every corner of the land covered by forests. I have enjoyed super smooth tarmac, no cars and to top it up all road rides feel like mountain biking when being outside the town. Truly superb experience so far and I hope that it can only get better.
