After crashing into a car 7 days ago I am back on the road, racing World cup series in Maniago, Italy.
The heating sun was up, right from my arrival and I could feel time trialling is not going to be easy. It never is but 30 centigrades baking under the sun gives it that extra punch. Track was super. From start straight into the hill and than for a short time down just to go steady up into the flats, twist and turns. There is a lot to improve this season and certainly numbers are showing some potential for growth.
I do wonder weather I was timed properly. There was havoc on the start line, I have started when there was 38 seconds on the clock with no count down.  After 26.3km confused by gate I was heading into the finish area. I have almost stopped too early only to find my self sprinting to catch time I have lost. Luckily enough for me, it was good to get gold :) Nice reward after huge training effort, short recovery and loads of help from very special people. Special thanks belongs to Eamonn Deane for bringing me back to life with energy gel, drink and water while sitting, unable to move in finish area. THANKS :)
