Stockton Velo29-Altura Town Centre Race & RR

13TH OF JULY

What a weekend: On friday, raced in Stockton Velo29-Altura Town Centre Race.... no result, clearly I am not criterium rider. That would be all acceptable, just rear mech felt a bit funny after.

What a weekend: On friday, raced in Stockton Velo29-Altura Town Centre Race.... no result, clearly I am not criterium rider. That would be all acceptable, just rear mech felt a bit funny after. Not knowing exactly what went wrong, started training on Saturday and thought not a big deal. Rear mech wasn't shifting into two lowest sprockets, it could be just dirt in mech because Friday's course was very dusty and bumpy. Guys from Spiritbikestried to change cables on Saturday evening. Sometime during the race rear mech cable got damaged and fibres got stuck inside the frame cable lining. Bits were still inside and therefore no shifting. This job took till about midnight. The weather was not too bad before the race. Bit wet if anything. Unnamed tyres, 90PSI, 500meters into the neutralised zone, first roundabout.... end of the race !!! (oh and no I am not such pussy to abandon race after one skid... this meant bend rear mech, cracked frame, scratched levers and some damage to the handlebars) I cannot see what else to blame except UNNAMED F******* tyres, bike literally ran away from me, very much annoyed ( cannot swear here)
